A simple situation that got violently and totally out of control for which I continue to suffer today. A violent encounter with no justification whatsoever....simply because he had a blue uniform, badge and gun. That night, I was the enemy and he wanted to be a hero. Many have never even been around African-Americans and Latinos, and in many cases, their first experience being around minorities, is when the RPD gives them a badge, a gun, and a bullet-proof vest, and they are thrown in the inner city, and they look at minorities as the enemy!Davy V.https://www.blogger.com/profile/15619903264540749438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7420855702828173043.post-23472146094899497362013-04-05T15:17:20.768-07:002013-04-05T15:17:20.768-07:00After reading this it makes me think of alot of si...After reading this it makes me think of alot of situations I have seen in the past similar to this one. They get it but ignore it. They wear a badge so that excludes everything in their eyes. I dont feel bad for any cop who gets it bad. When they enlist to become cops they automatically know the dangers and the rules of engagement. Either be safe and communicate the right way with civilians or quit your job cause it will be a bumpy ride.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07321495213075647965noreply@blogger.com
